We’ve recently completed a work focused on the analysis of the petroleum potential of the fractured basement in the East Shetland platform. The study has been conducted in collaboration with a student from the UniLaSalle University that has worked on the interpretation of the available public data in the area (several 2D seismic surveys and more than 80 wells) to reconstruct the basement geometry (below picture), interpret the fault network and generate structural maps of the basement surface in order to finally identify potential areas for HC prospectivity. The project has been carried by using analogues and concepts from the West Shetland basin. Contact us for more information!
