Thrust Belt Systems are one of the most fascinating settings where exploration is currently focusing, in the attempt to reveal the main structural features linked to the HC storage and migration. In this ambit, our colleague Raffale Bitonte will show a poster on “The impact of cross-strike structures on hydrocarbon migration and accumulation: practical examples from Alpine fold-and-thrust belts” during the next GIGS (Gruppo Italiano Geologia Strutturale) conference 2015, which will be held on September 30th in Catania (Sicily).

The Geological Society of Italy (Società Geologica Italiana-SGI) is the most representative scientific association of geosciences in Italy, and it is one of the oldest in the world. The aim of SGI is the advancement, promotion and dissemination of the geological knowledge and its related theoretical and applied aspects.

GEPlan will be present..and we hope to see you there!
